Abbie McDonagh won the position as 1st violin tutti at the Philharmonisches Staatsorchester in Hamburg for one season. She plays an anonymous violin from the Maggini Foundation collection. Congratulations Abbie!

Solist Marco Rogliano (violin) performed the symphonic poem Poema Autunale by Ottorino Respighi with the Orchestra di Padova e del Veneto, conducted by Gábor Takács-Nagy. Marco Rogliano plays a violin by Nicolo Bergonzi, Cremona, c.1790 from the Segelman Trust collection. (12nd January 2023)
The Foundation is very pleased to have been able to help the talented violinist Anna Schultsz with the successful and very exciting selection of a violin. She is playing the Antonius Hieronimus fr. Amati, Cremona, 1590 from the Segelman Trust. (5th December 2022)

Violinist Anastasia Subrakova won the audition for 1st violin tutti at the Musikkollegium Winterthur! She played the stunning Nicolò Amati, Cremona, 1662 from the Segelman Trust collection. Congratulations Anastasia!
Now she rents a beautiful violin from Giovanni Paolo Maggini, Brescia.

At the end of September, violinist Alexandre Kortchmar won the position in temporary contract at the Stuttgart Opera. At this successful audition he played the amazing instrument by Nicolo Gagliano, Napoli, c. 1750 from the Segelman Trust collection. Congratulations! (07 October 2022)
